We Are The Crafty Swingers!

Hello everyone and welcome to our blog, The Crafty Swingers! We’re thrilled to share our passion for crafting and our journey in the swinging lifestyle with you all. For those who don’t know us yet, let us introduce ourselves. We are a married couple who love nothing more than creating beautiful things with our hands and exploring new experiences together.

As the name of our blog suggests, we’re both craft enthusiasts and members of the swinging lifestyle. For us, these two aspects of our lives complement each other perfectly, since the one gives reason to travel for the other, and a built in cover for our vanilla lives. Whether we’re working on a new project in our workshop or trying out a new swingers club, we always find joy in discovering new things and living life to the fullest.

The year 2020 was marked by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, bringing with it numerous challenges. During this uncertain time, we sought new ways to experience happiness and connection. This pursuit led us to the swinging lifestyle. Although it was a fresh and unfamiliar territory for us, it turned out to be the source of joy and fulfillment that we were seeking. We discovered a community of like-minded people who shared our interests and desires, allowing us to expand our horizons and find excitement in new experiences. Despite the difficulties brought on by the COVID crisis, it was during these trying times that we found something truly valuable and meaningful.

Simultaneously, not only changes to our social lives, but also to our personal interests and hobbies. During this time, he was able to take their already existing interest in 3D printing to a new level and also develop a passion for woodworking. The slower pace and newfound focus on self-improvement provided the perfect opportunity to dive deeper into these creative pursuits. He found joy in learning new techniques and exploring his artistic side through woodworking and 3D printing. These hobbies offered a much-needed escape from the stress and uncertainty of the world, allowing him to find peace and fulfillment in his passions.

Fabric Masks from the COVID era, I don’t think we knew when we made these that we were thinking about the lifestyle, if not I think we would have kept the pineapples one!

She was a budding seamstress who wanted to take her craft to new heights as well. Committed to producing high-quality, reusable cloth masks, she put in countless hours to make over 1300 masks that were both sold and given away to local hospitals. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to creating a product that could genuinely protect those in need made her masks a hit amongst the community. The combination of doing something meaningful and being able to pursue her love of sewing made this a rich and rewarding experience for her, as well as helping to fund a new sewing machine.

With the situation gradually improving, our focus shifted towards showcasing and selling our crafts in local fairs. We saw this as a way to bring some normalcy back into our lives, connect with our community, and share our passions with others. Our crafts shifted to home goods, signs, and fabric goods, and we try to have something for everyone. Our products were well received and we were delighted to see the appreciation in people’s eyes as they browsed our offerings. Participating in these fairs gave us a sense of purpose, a way to put our skills to good use, and to supplement our income, while continuing to share our love of crafting with others.

In this blog, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at our lives as we juggle our lives. From our latest DIY projects to our adventures in the swinging scene, we’ll be sharing it all with you. We’ll also be sharing tips, tricks, and inspiration for anyone who’s looking to try pursue this lifestyle and what works for us.

We’re excited to share our passion with you all, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.

Stay tuned for our first post, where we’ll be diving into our first big project: building a custom swing set for our backyard!
